Background & Motivation
Ocean Pacific Travel, Inc. is a travel agency that has been providing first-class travel planning services and guidance in Monterey Park, California since 1990. With their established industry connections, they offer unique and affordable travel promotions, while having a talent for securing the best travel deals for their clients.
At my time in the company, I noticed that the agency had deactivated their website for a long time and had not been utilizing it since. With the understanding of how the world has become digitally driven, having a website can potentially reach more clients and drive growth. As an office intern, I took the initiative to lead a project to modernize the agency's website using WordPress. The main goal was to reflect the agency's values, enhance the customer experience, and attract more prospective clients.
Design
When I approached this project, I wanted to present a clean, simple, and straightforward design for users to interact with. I made sure to include imagery that promoted a sense calm as well as exploration. When a product maintains their values and mission, users are more likely to trust the brand as well as continue to user their products. I strove to make the UI clean and simple, enabling users to navigate the website effortlessly. Here are the final designs:

Reflection
During my internship at Ocean Pacific Travel, I established relationships with airlines to confirm booking arrangements for guests, facilitating communication between the two parties and driving sales. I also handled administrative tasks such as filing documents, assisting customers with inquiries, and scheduling tour packages and bookings to help them plan their trips.
As a side project, I took on the challenge of designing the agency's website using WordPress, gaining a little introduction to UX/UI design in the process. Although I didn't have much time to work on the design, I was happy to learn a new skill and modernize the website to reflect the agency's values, ultimately improving the customer experience and attracting more business.
